Percolation Testing

At Altruistic Septic Service; we can work with and connect you to an engineer to perform a percolation test to aid in the septic permitting process. Percolation tests are important due to the fact that they establish a "perc rate" based on sub-surface soil conditions which in turn signifies the type and size of septic system you are going to need installed. Percolation tests are the first step in the septic process, and perc tests can be performed for advanced treatment units or conventional septic systems. Currently serving Riverside, San Diego and San Bernardino counties.

  • Percolation Testing: (AKA: Perc Test, Perk Test, Septic Test) Percolation tests are required to determine the feasibility of installing an Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (septic system). Septic system design is part of a perc test. Perk tests are usually required on lots for sale and in escrow which will require a septic system, the close of escrow is contingent upon a passing percolation test. Perc testing is often required when building room additions or second units on lots with septic. Perc tests are beneficial because they provide a way to ensure that your septic system is large enough to meet the demand coming from the home and the properties of the soil.
  • Geotechnical Engineering: Preliminary Soils Reports, Compaction Testing and Stormwater Infiltration testing, WQMP Reports, Perk Tests for Stormwater.
